Revenue Settlement Rule Mapping

Revenue Settlement Rule Mapping screen helps you to define rules for revenue settlements. Rule mapping is done through this screen. You can define rules category wise. Through this screen, the service provider can settle the revenue with Content Provider, Business Dealer, and Sales Person.

To define a rule:

  1. On the System Administration module, click Settlements, and then click Settlement Rule Mapping.

  2. In the Rule Code box and the Rule Description box, enter the code and description of the revenue settlement rule respectively.

  3. In the Rule Category drop-down, select the value as Content Provider, Business Dealer or Employee.

Content Provider

  1. In the Rule Sub Category drop-down, select the value as Partner or Bouquet. Bouquet means a service group with all services mandatory.

  2. In the Rule Sale Item drop-down, Sales Count appears by default. Sales count means service count or each service count in a bouquet or plan count in a particular rule frequency and its value.

  3. In the Rule Sale Option drop-down, Service appears by default.

  4. In the Rule Group drop-down, Non-group appears by default. As there is no concept of partner group or botique group, non-group is the only option available.

  5. In the Rule Sale Type drop-down, Direct Sale appears by default. As the service provider directly settles the amount with the content provider, direct sale is the only sale type available.

  6. In the Rule Slab Mode drop-down, select the value as Volume or Incremental.

  7. In the Rule Frequency drop-down, select the value as Days, Weeks, or Months. Rule frequency and its value means if rule frequency is Weeks and its value is 1 then settlement will be calculated for every week. If job runs monthly for the above definition, process runs by adding a week to the last settlement end date and continues weekly run till the qualified date based on job input for process date.

  8. In the Rule Validity grid, select from date and to date from respective fields to define validity period of the rule.

  9. In the Rule Details grid, click Add to add details for the rule.

  10. In the Rule Sub Category drop-down, select the sub category. For Partners, select the partner from the drop-down. The corresponding sale options for the partner are displayed in the Rule Sale Option drop-down. The services are mapped to the partner in Settlement Partner Service Mapping lookup code. For Bouquet, select the service group from the drop-down. The services in the group are displayed in the Rule Sale Option drop-down.

  11. In the Rule Sale Option drop-down, select the sale option.

  12. In the Slab Name drop-down, select the name of the slab. The slabs defined in the Settlement Slabs screen are displayed in the drop-down.

  13. Click Save to save the defined rule details.

Business Dealer

  1. By default, operational entity appears in Rule Sub Category drop-down.
  2. In the Rule Sale Item drop-down, select the value as Sales Count or Sales Amount. Sales count means service count or each service count in a bouquet or plan count in a particular rule frequency and its value.
  3. By default rule sale option is "Plan” for rule sale item “Sales Count”. For rule sale item “sales amount”, rule sale option “Subscription Amount” is also available along with "Plan".

  4. In the Rule Group drop-down, select the operational entity group. The operational entities in the selected group appear in the Rule Sub Category drop-down of Rule Details grid.

  5. In the Rule Sale Type  drop-down, select the value as either Direct Sale or Hierarchy Sale. Direct Sale means sales count directly by a partner or an operational entity or a salesman. Hierarchy Sale means sales count or sales amount done by the players under hierarchy including hierarchy head end for an operational entity or a salesman. Settlement amount accounted to head end.

  6. In the Rule Slab Mode drop-down, select the value as Volume or Incremental.

  7. In the Rule Frequency drop-down, select the value as Days, Weeks, or Months.

  8. In the Rule Validity grid, select from date and to date from respective fields to define validity period of the rule.

  9. In the Rule Details grid, click Add to add details for the rule.

  10. In the Rule Sub Category drop-down, select the operational entity.

  11. In the Rule Sale Option drop-down, select the plan for Rule Sale Option "Plan; select the value as Recurring, Usage or Onetime for Rule Sale Option "Subscription Amount.

  12. In the Slab Name drop-down, select the slab to map with the rule. The slabs defined in the Settlement Slabs screen are displayed in the drop-down.

  13. Click Save to save the defined rule details.

Employee

  1. By default, Sales Person appears in Rule Sub Category drop-down.
  2. In the Rule Sale Item drop-down, select the value as Sales Count or Sales Amount. Sales count means service count or each service count in a bouquet or plan count in a particular rule frequency and its value.
  3. By default rule sale option is "Plan” for rule sale item “Sales Count”. For rule sale item “sales amount”, rule sale option “Subscription Amount” is also available along with "Plan".

  4. In the Rule Group drop-down, select the employee groups or select Non-group to display all the available employees in Rule Sub Category drop-down of Rule Details grid.
  5. In the Rule Sale Type  drop-down, select the value as either Direct Sale or Hierarchy Sale. Direct Sale means sales count directly by a partner or an operational entity or a salesman. Hierarchy Sale means sales count or sales amount done by the players under hierarchy including hierarchy head end for an operational entity or a salesman. Settlement amount accounted to head end.

  6. In the Rule Slab Mode drop-down, select the value as Volume or Incremental.

  7. In the Rule Frequency drop-down, select the value as Days, Weeks, or Months.

  8. In the Rule Validity grid, select from date and to date from respective fields to define validity period of the rule.

  9. Select the Is Custom Rule check box to display defined custom templates. The custom templates appear in Slab Name drop-down of Rule Details grid.

  10. Select Is Sale Order Required and Is Sale Category Required check box.
