Package is a single unit that consists of various basic services and service groups. A package can have mandatory and optional components.
All the basic services available in a package are considered as mandatory. But some set of inclusion rules are applied while adding service groups to a package. The rules can be like “Choice of a fixed number of services”, "All services mandatory" etc.
Packages are defined in Package screen.
Example: If the following services and service groups are defined in the system.
Service Group1 HBO, Star Movies, Z Movies, Hallmark
Service Group2 Start Sports, Neo Sports, Ten Sports
Service1 Cartoon Network
Service2 Football World Cup
Service3 Indian Premier League
A package can be defined by opting service and/or service groups like Service Group1, Service1, and Service2.
