Room

Room is the installation point/delivery point/site at the customer premises to which services are provisioned. Multiple Rooms may exist for a single customer under a single contract.

The count of rooms (delivery points) is entered into the system while booking the order. Provisioning request is sent for each individual room separately. If the contract is modified then the changes affect the rooms.

The service provider can give discounted pricing on the additional rooms available in a single contract.

For Example:

Multi-Room (multiple rooms) feature gives flexibility to the service provider to have multiple head-ends/installations under a single contract. In the ISP scenario, a single customer may have multiple sites connected to broadband under a single contract.

A service provider can levy some extra charge for extra rooms. In this case, if a customer buys additional set, then a fixed fee is charged per month for each additional set. Service provider may not provide any discounts for the additional TV sets, but the customer may be allowed to use multiple TV sets.

It also enables the service provider to introduce promotional offers like, if a customer buys 2-3 TV sets under a single contract, they can get 15% off. If they buy more than 3, they get 20% off etc.
