Modify Item Attributes

Modify Item Attributes screen helps you to change the attributes of an inventory item. Suppose an item is missing from your inventory, then by using this screen the item missing status can be changed.

To modify item attributes:

  1. On the Inventory & Logistics module, click Modify Item Attributes.

  2. In the Item drop-down box, select the hardware item for which you want to change the status.

  3. In the Serial Number box, type the serial number for the selected item.

  4. In the Item Details panel, select quality status, category, missing status, purpose, used, writtenoff, and model/make  from the respective drop-downs.
    Note: The missing status defined in Missing Status lookup code are displayed in the missing status drop-down. The Purposes defined in the Purpose lookup code are displayed in the Purpose drop-down.

  5. In the Version Number box, type the version number.

  6. Select warranty date from Used Warranty Date box.

  7. In Other Info panel, type the additional attributes.

  8. Click Attributes History link to view history details of the item like attribute name, old value and new value, user who modified, and the date on which the attribute is modified.

  9. Click Save to save the modified details for the item.
