Geographic Region

Through Define Geographic Region screen you can define new geographic regions in the system. Geographical regions are the physical locations which includes single or multiple geographic segments. Each region is identified by unique Region Code and must belong to a region type.

Following three different types of geographic regions are available in the system:

A geographic region with geographic region type as Price Region must be defined in the system. You can also modify the existing region details through this screen.

To define or modify a geographical region:

  1. On the System Administration module, click Basic Configurations, click Geographical, and then click Geographic Region.

  2. In the Region Code box and the Description box, type the code and name of the geographic region respectively.

  3. Select Region Type from the drop-down to include the region as a part of the selected region type.

  4. In the Add Geographic Segment grid, select Country and the corresponding State, District, City, and Area from the respective drop-downs.

  5. Click the Add button to add the selected segments to the region. The added geographical segments appear in Currently Included Segments box.

  6. Repeat the above steps to add multiple geographic segments to the region.

  7. Click the Save button to save the region details.

  8. To modify an existing region details, enter Region Code in the given field. Else, click the Search Lookup against the Region Code field. Enter the minimum required details in the search fields and click the Search button. The details appear in Lookup Search pop up window. Select the required Region Code link from the Search Results list in Lookup Search pop up window. The region details appear in the screen.

  9. If you want to remove the existing segments from the region, select the check box against the segment in Currently Included Segments box and click Remove.

  10. To add new segments to the region, repeat the process mentioned in step 6.

  11. Modify the other details, if required.

  12. Click Save to apply the modifications.
