Assign Operational Entity

Each user must belong to single or multiple operational entities. Through Assign Operational Entity screen you can assign operational entities and inventory locations to the user.

You can also modify the existing user entities assignment details through this screen.

To assign or modify an operational entity and inventory location:

  1. On the System Administration module, click User Management, and then click User Entities.

  2. Select User ID from the drop-down. The user name appears on the screen.

  3. Select the Map all entities check box to assign all the operational entities to the user.  In the Default Entity box, enter or select the default operational entity for the user. The default entity appears wherever applicable in the Billing & CRM solution.

  4. In the Operational Entities table, click the Add link to assign operational entity to the user. A new row appears in the table.

  5. Select Entity Type from the drop-down. The Entity Name appears automatically.

  6. Select the Include Child Entities check box to assign all the child entities of the selected Operational Entity Type to the user.

  7. Select the Set As Default check box to set the assigned operational entity type as the default entity type for the user.

  8. Repeat the above steps to assign multiple operational entities to the user.

  9. In Inventory Locations table, click the Add link to assign inventory locations to the user. A new row appears in the table.

  10. Select Inventory Location from the drop-down.

  11. Select Set As Default check box to set the assigned inventory location as the default inventory for the user.

  12. Repeat the above steps to assign multiple inventory locations to the user.

  13. Click the Save button to save the details.

  14. To modify an existing user entities assignment details, select the User Id from the drop-down. The details appear in the screen.

  15. Modify the required details and click the Save button to apply the modification.
